Find My iPhone is a free app that allows you to locate your misplaced iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac using any iOS device. By simply installing the app and signing in with your Apple ID, you can find your missing device on a map, remotely lock it, play a sound, display a message, or erase all the data on it.

In addition to these features, Find My iPhone also includes Lost Mode for iOS devices. This mode locks your device with a passcode and can display a custom message and contact phone number on the Lock Screen. Lost Mode also tracks the location history of your device, allowing you to view its recent locations right from the Find My iPhone app.

Please note that in order to use Find My iPhone, you must enable it in the iCloud settings on your device.

How Your Data is used:

When you use Find My iPhone, your device’s location, as well as information about your device and your account, will be sent to and retained by Apple for the purpose of providing you with the service. Your device’s location is only sent to Apple when you actively request it or if you enable the Send Last Location feature, which automatically sends your device’s last known location to Apple when the battery is critically low.
